The Dean of Westminster Abbey with the sculpture of the blinded Soldiers before the service for the centenary of Blind Veterans UK.
1800 guests attended the service which was performed by Blind Veterans UK, volunteers, staff and celebrities including Dame Barbara Windsor, Sir David Dimbleby, Gwawr Edwards and Alistair Caplin who played his especially composed violin piece for the service ' Reach your hand to my shoulder'.
The charity were honored that the very Reverend Doctor John Hall, Dean of Westminster who flew in straight from the USA that morning especially to be able to join us.
What an honor to be invited to exhibit the lads at such a prestigious event. we had an amazing but emotional day.
then following the service of thanks giving the bells of Westminster Abbey rang in celebration as Blind Veterans and their guests headed to the Collage gardens to enjoy lunch.
